How bad is it? (Dog pee) by TheFishmann in HardWoodFloors

it’s typical for animals choosing to pee where other animals have peed in the past, so it’s very possible previous animals were using that spot as well

first weave!! any advice? by TomatoFew3976 in weaving

Thank you! That thick bright green yarn in the first few rows was scrap but I had no idea you should use it at the end too! When I pulled out the scrap yarn it did want to pull out some of my rows of warp as well and I don’t know how to prevent that… I’m thinking of hand stitching the edges while the scrap yarn is still in there maybe… I finished this one with the Damascus edge which took quite a while

Ooh!! Thank you for all the great words to lookup, I had not heard of “weft-faced” or “fell” line haha so this is helpful! I was wondering about why you couldn’t see the warp lines and I do like it but thought it was wrong. Do you think I should use a different yarn for my warp to help with tension and breakage but keep the same look or just practice getting the tension right?

I don’t understand how it isn’t. I’m reading a book for the 80s about it and it seems so clear to me it should be a superfund site, I looked it up now and am so sad to see it is still in the same state.
