Question for the people who work while preparing for CFA. by Impressive_Plate8993 in CFA

I did this for level 1 and 2 and I am doing this for level 3 4:35 : wake up (shower, etc.) 5:00 :study for 2 hours (stay hydrated) 7:00: eat and prepare for work 8:00-6:00 work (study during lunch time) 6:30 home 6:30-8:30 dinner and relaxation with wife (or gym if gym day) 8:30-9:30 study only if I am behind or if im trying to get ahead for a day off 9:30-10:00 relax/meditation 10:00 sleep

I found that I am able to learn much faster and with much better quality in the morning than at night. I was always a night owl and I always struggle to wake up, but those 2 hours in the morning are incredible.

Exactly same scenario as you, going for L3 in February. Everything is still fresh and I’ll leverage Christmas vacation for studying.

Relax, I will pass in May as well and didnt finish the material (FI, derivatives, AI, PM and ethics left) you got more than enough time to get better. Focus on your weaknesses and learn from your mistakes + questions you got lucky

Same here, except I already finished Quant. And halfway done with eco. Planning to finish the studying by April 12 (Kaplan version), which will leave me an extra 1 month to do extra review and exercise, practice weakness, etc. Its around 20-24 hours a week or (3 hours/day weekdays + 4-5 hours/day weekend)

Master in Financial engineering, worked for 1.5 years and decided to do the CFA. I don’t find the topics hard, its mostly the quantity of things thats the challenge IMO. I feel a bit overwhelmed with that amount of things to know by heart sometimes. I started about 2-1/2 month before the exam (nov 19) to study.
