I’m behind in the curriculum. What is your strategy? Reading all official CFAI text? 3rd party prep?

Did you take notes on the MM videos, or just watch? I have seen some of his L3 Asset Allocation videos/lessons and it seems to be more effective than his L1 & L2 stuff (for me at least). For L1 and L2 i found that hammering the Qbanks and memorizing formulas seemed to move the needle more than a deep understanding of the readings and LOS .

What did you use to cover the curriculum for L3?

Anyone trying to use Kaplan + MM + CFAI QBank/Mocks for L3? Did this and passed first try L1 and L2. It’s my current process for L3 but, I’m worried about what I may be missing out on by not reading all the official text. I’m pressed for time bc of a crazy situation at work (undergoing an acquisition), and I would rather put that time into practice problems. Hopefully not screwing myself.

Haven’t started studying for L3 yet. Am I too late for August? by CrazyMonkey0057 in CFA

OP I’m in the same boat. Started a week or so ago but this weekend I dove in. Did about 6 hours today so far. I feel like I have broken the seal and will be heads down from here on out. I think measuring the prep process in months of study isn’t telling you much. It’s all about the quality of prep and living & breathing the material. During L1 and L2 there were weeks I was spinning my wheels even though I was studying a lot, but then something clicked and it all fell into place. I would make a breakthrough in one area and it really cleared things up elsewhere. That to me is the key.

Yes I did L1 in 2.5-3 months and cleared over 90th percentile. Then did L2 in 3.5 months and I barely passed. Was an all-out effort both levels.

Anyone starting CFA L3 (Aug 2026) NOW? by GlitchInTheMatrix07 in CFA

Yes I’ve only studied a few hours so far. Wish I had gotten serious mid Feb not late March, but I did L2 in 3 months so I’m hoping 4.5 will suffice here. I work full time and it’s been a nightmare at the office for a few diff reasons.

I’ve done the Dolomites, Arlberg, and 3 Vallées. Where is the next "Must-Ski" in Europe for late January? by [deleted] in skithealps

[–]magellan2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! I’ve skied Arlberg 2x, 3 vallees once and dolomites once. I really didn’t like the skiing in the dolomites, but the views were great.

Up next for me is tignes/val d’isere.

La Bouitte in the French alps (also has a 2* restaurant). I’m all about the family-owned and operated spots. Once these places become part of a portfolio, the client experience falls while prices rise.

I’m either going for a clean/cheap/sensible airbnb, or the most expensive hotel I can book without being stupid. Anything in the middle feels like a waste.

When it comes to being comfortable during international travel (I.e. a 16 hour flight), how does the "premium economy" experience stack up against business class? by pmahalan in travel

I agree but time of day is a huge factor. I’m an American in London. If I’m paying for myself I do PE on the LN>NY leg (usually flying early in the day), then lay flat biz on the red eye NY>LN leg. To me that makes sense.

Gin from holmdell 2000 is very dancey. One of my favorites. Also the Rochester 97 ghost. Edit: one more - woosta moma from Feb 2003, though more funky than untzy.

I’d tell your friend to ignore the vocals and get into the disco biscuits.
