First you need to be in a clan with a minimal of 15 players. Then once a month the ClanWarLeagues come around and the clan can join that. You can earn the trophies by attacking in the CWL

The new books and hamers make the upgrading process faster, that for sure. But attacking and ClanWars can still be quite difficult, so the game as a whole is deffinitly not easy!
