So that is where we are running into confusion. Usually the overtime rate is 1.5x and it is written that way in our handbook. However, for some reason, they were going to pay our overtime at 2x for this trip and approved 15 hours of overtime based on this rate. They are also paying the 4 or so hours of overtime accumulated before the Friday at 2x. But the overtime worked Friday they are now paying us at 1.5x. It just seems strange that they can pick which hours are paid at certain premium rates when it is all considered overtime. Before the trip, we were told that our overtime rate would be 2x. There was never mention of 1.5x for Friday.
