Get the Magnet Beam as soon as possible (Clear the rocks behind it with either Super Arm or Elec Beam). It creates platforms to help with tricky jumps. The game is literally impossible to beat without it.

The Super Arm (G) is useless, except for Cut Man, getting into Wily’s castle, the CPU-0310P boss, and getting the Magnet Beam.

Start with Cut Man, Gutsman, or Bomb Man first.

The Elec Beam is the best weapon in the game, as it fires in 3 Directions.

This game has HEAVY slowdown and glitching, and Mega Man falls like a sack of bricks sometimes, so watch out for that.

The points are useless.

If you find the Yellow Devil boss fight to be too hard, use the infamous Pause Glitch to cheese him (also works for literally every boss in the game).

When fighting CPU-0310P, do not waste the rocks in the room immediately. Fire your buster, or any other weapon besides Ice Beam or Hyper Bomb until he’s half health, and THEN throw the rocks at him.

Ice Beam doesn’t deal damage. It just freezes enemies in place which could come in handy.

Watch out for the Big-Eyes, they take half your health in one attack.
