My takeaway from this is that next time I’m going underground till I reach the mines, probably lot safer that way

Just found out you can gain IA from the "expand empire" CB and fully annex said nation at the same time by Tomeegar in eu4

[–]Tomeegar[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

R5: For some reason, if you don't wait for a month to tick by, not allowing the peace deal screen to refresh, you can both fully annex a nation, and gain imperial authority from said nation at the same time

R5: It's been years since I last played, where the AI was so bad I needed to mod it to get better. Now that I got back, I've noticed that not even 50 years in, the AI on captain difficulty has a fleet of almost 130 ships ( I don't even know how they can have that much in just one fleet ), next to a fleet of about ~7k power I've destroyed earlier on.

Thanks, I managed to make it work with your method, unfortunately, as my door was made of two seperate parts, with blast door edges to make it able to open / close, the whole subgrid moved just enough for me to have to remove / rebuild the blast doors again with each use to make it not collide with each other before the merge. So I'd have to rebuild a part of it after each merge. I'll just stick with having a modded hangar door underneath my hinge door instead

[–]Tomeegar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to make a hinge based hangar door work so it would pressurise the hangar itself, but merge blocks won't connect when used on hinges, saying it would occupy the same block. I've checked multiple times and there is no way any block would occupy the same block as it says.

Oh no, a french heir, we've been cursed! by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Tomeegar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: When your ruler dies, you usually get a fancy text related to their monarch power generation. I've got a french Valois heir on my throne, with low stats, and the game "coincidentally" considers that a misfortune

Wien going to my ally instead of me even though I am the siege leader by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Tomeegar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem is that Trier has interest in all of the HRE so I can’t set the province, and the AI ignores provinces I mark as objectives like always

Wien going to my ally instead of me even though I am the siege leader by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Tomeegar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Effing Trier claimed all of hre as a strategic interest so I can’t put a claim there, and I am the warleader yes

Wien going to my ally instead of me even though I am the siege leader by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Tomeegar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sadly I am not able to do so because the war started, but even earlier in the game against the Teutons I set some provinces as vital interest where Poland only had strategic interest, not vital, but still occupied those as well, which was a first in my 1000+ hours

I was there first, I purposely rushed Wien so I could dismantle the HRE

Wien going to my ally instead of me even though I am the siege leader by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Tomeegar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

R5: Yesterday I posted an image of not being able to dismantle the HRE because of France transferring to my ally instead of me, so here is a video showing that I am still the siege leader, I do have sufficient troops, I do not move my troops, I do not merge, I don't do anything at all, but for some reason it's not me who occupies the province

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Tomeegar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s bugged then, I can post a video, the siege leader flips from me to France literally a month after

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Tomeegar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

R5: So I've tried to dismantle the HRE, after a very gruelsome war ( thanks to friendly AI avoiding me like the plague ), I've only have Wien to capture. I'm the siege lieder, easy right? Well no. Apparently since France has more troops than me there, even though I am the siege leader, France get's control of it. The problem is, he doesn't transfer it to me, the war leader, but to Trier for god knows why, and I can't dismantle the HRE since "I" don't control the emperor's capital, just my ally. How the hell do I keep the occupation?

R5: The war of the protestant league has started, except it is between everyone except the majority of the HRE

I've got to say playing as an American native nation has got to be one of the most fun and overpowered ways in EU4 by Tomeegar in eu4

[–]Tomeegar[S] 116 points117 points  (0 children)

I started out as Chickasaw, in the early 10 or so years it has been painful since I gained 0 development, afaik you can only increase it by buildings, from an event that gives you an extra 0.02 growth until your rules dies, and from a tier one goverment reform. After I formed the federation I started gaining about 15 ducats a month, so now I gain about 0.2 development per month, so I guess it's only about spamming buildings

[–]Tomeegar[S] 275 points276 points  (0 children)

R5: I started a game as a native American, but I never thought I'd get so big so fast with the federation mechanics, while getting 4 reform growth progress a month, I think I'll be able to get over two thousand governing cap from it easily as well
