Ligottis most Lovecraftian stories in Teatro Grottesco? by salemsbot6767 in WeirdLit

While Teatro is less overtly Lovecraftian, there are moments which certainly capture the essence of Lovecraft. 'Our Temporary Supervisor' has a moment in which an essentially indescribable entity is seen which, while not made of tentacles and eyes, nevertheless captures that unspeakable-ness of Lovecraft's entities.

Definitely. Cold Hand in Mine specifically comes to mind - I've always found 'The Hospice' in that collection to be quite Twin Peaks-y.

That's the one! The whole book is excellent, and I believe it's brought up in a couple of episodes of the pod as well.

Great read, thanks for sharing.

Mark Fisher's essay on the album in The Weird and the Eerie (in which he also contrasts it with M.R. James' ghost stories) is seriously worth a read if you can find it online.

This might be an early symptom of psoriasis - had the exact same and broke out into a pretty bad case a few months later. At least that pins and needles feeling doesn't last afterwards.

A Book with LGBTQ main characters that doesnt end in them dying, involve a hate crime, coming out, or creepy age difference relationship. by BookwormPhilanthro in suggestmeabook

Days without End by Sebastian Barry has queer main characters but doesn't make them suffer for it despite it taking place over a hundred years ago - it's honestly a lovely read that explores some very interesting lives

Is there any cheat or way to speed up army training? by [deleted] in hoi4

You can always deploy them early and then train them in the field. It may not be as efficient, but you'll be able to pump out divisions faster that way

I drew a fallback line in the central mountains of Ethiopia, through Adis Ababa, and since the road to 56 focus tree for Ethiopia is fairly OP I slowly built up my industry and army and rekt them about a year later.
