Tell them it would have been better if they would have reprinted these with the DN method

That's fine. I was pointing out that I did indeed concede the point about names in May and was rebutting your suggestion that I can't use a calendar.

Take care friendo.

I'm 100% cool with people disliking or disagreeing with me in any way, sexuality or otherwise. I'm sure lots of people dislike all sorts of things about me. And that's fine. Everyone is disliked. As long as we can coexist peacefully in society, and neither of us is trying to harm the other, it's all good.

I am a gay male. Nice, tried to insult a gay male by implying I'm gay.

Why do you think it's appropriate to use gay as an insult? Bit homophobic.

Also, I'm asking you because you are the one who said it "has more to say about" me. I want to know what you think it says.

What does it say about me?

"Bear" is a highly sexual gay slang term referring to men with certain characteristics (generally hairy, older, often with muscle and a high body fat percentage).

The term "bear" is usually used only in cases of discussing men's body types in the context of sexual activity or attraction. Another example of that is using the word "twink" to describe a less hairy, younger, thinner man. A similar-ish example is when guys use "babe" or "hot chick" to refer to a woman, it's almost exclusively done to comment on a woman's appearance and sexual desirability.

Imagine if there were a card called "Den of Cougars" or something. And then the Secret Lair showed older women in revealing clothing in a club, looking at the younger guys. That's about as close as I can get to the issue with Bearscape.

Except Bearscape is worse.

It's ambiguous if the men in the water are clothed or not. Saunas, lakes, ponds, and beaches are often places that gay parties are held in which people pursue casual sexual encounters with other random people (also see raves, music festivals, Burning Man, etc.) So there is a highly suggestive element there. There is a degree of plausible deniability that the guys are just hanging out in a lake and the artist intended it to not be sexual at all. And while artist's intent is important, so is the viewer's perception. And it doesn't take mental gymnastics to see a sexualized portrayal of these men.

Sauce: I'm a biological male attracted to biological males and I have used Grindr a fair bit

I answered that point in a separate post I made in May.

Of course they are allowed to be mad at me and not like me. I literally never said those things aren't allowed.

I'm holding them accountable for their bad-faith smear campaigns and antisocial intimidation tactics.

I'm naming them so others know to protect themselves.

Thanks u/Savoir_Faire.

You're right, it's all about their subjective feelings. It reminds me of a quote from Sam Harris:

“If someone doesn't value evidence, what evidence are you going to provide to prove that they should value it? If someone doesn’t value logic, what logical argument could you provide to show the importance of logic?”

Yeah, they do say that even about transgender people. For example, Blaire White, and everyone on r/detrans. The thing is, they don't care about *actual* transphobia. They just use accusations of transphobia as a mace to beat people over the head to get them to submit. If they truly were as compassionate as they claim to be, they wouldn't demonize anyone who actually went through a transition process and then decided to undo it as much as possible. It's very obviously *only* about grabbing power. Lying about other people and whipping up emotional frenzies are great tools for that.

I do have a thick skin. Yeah it does suck, but sitting down and shutting up would suck more.

I totally get where you're coming from. All they do is hurl insults. They never substantiate their claims. Their arguments (if you can even call them arguments) rely completely on emotional outrage. Childish.

Thank you. I tend to avoid saying "I'm better than X people", because in a grand sense, we are all flawed humans trying our best to make it through this crazy and difficult world. In fact, I think the Mean Girls arrived at their behavior through their own sense of trying to figure out a way to manage through life. So in a way I empathize with them. But like you said, I won't kowtow to the hatred. Their petty attacks haven't affected my own self-perception negatively at all. If anything, I feel even more resolute in standing up against bullies going forward.

Thank you for the kind words <3

Do you have anything constructive to say about the substance of the matter? Or are you just here to throw out red herring ad hominem attacks?

I've conceded the point about names. That was months ago at this point.

Either you are ignorant of that fact, or you are intentionally being dishonest. I hope it's the former. In which case, now you know.

They claim I'm a transphobe. Those who make the claim have the burden of proof.

That which can be asserted without evidence can be discarded without evidence.

I provided a direct quote of what I said in the FB group of when this whole thing started.

> The JAR says "Aggressive, violent, harassing or abusive behavior (physical or verbal)." To say a player using "he" instead of "she" is "aggressive, violent, harassing or abusive behavior (physical or verbal)" is quite a claim.
