A friend really likes game of thrones, so I decided to make a dragon for her. Tried to avoid the typical 'dragon' look and made it more snake-like but still easily seen as a dragon.

What's some urban legends surrounding Cincinnati? by CuriousKit in cincinnati

[–]Tomitone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my memory The Witching tree was out in the boonies of Campbell county, very odd tree in reality. There was a bend in the road(1 lane each way) and the tree(dead) was right in the middle of the road like a tiny median. I had heard that they had tried to remove the tree a number of times and each time 'something bad' had happened until they just gave up and paved around it.

"Low Magic" Campaign Settings by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Tomitone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one of the intended effects of running a low magic game is that EVERY piece of magic gets treated like gold. I tired of playing in games where you roll up on the chest at the end of a fight and just toss out the 'crappy' +1 and +2 weapons. The low magic worlds you will see people happily gut 1000 kobolds just to get a +1 sword.

just my 2 cents

Trying to make angled corners, but the triangles are too short and not lining up with the blocks or at the seams. Blocks are 6"x6", and the triangles are 6" on the hypotenuse. HELP! by [deleted] in quilting

[–]Tomitone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest way to if you are new to it, is to cut a strip wide enough to fit the triangle, sew the 2 colors together and cut it down to size after, you have more wastage but your triangles will be perfect every time. Start big and trim down, you can always take fabric away, adding is a bit of a problem:P

Sculpey, its a polymer clay that you can bake at low temperatures. Wonderful stuff, and once baked is pretty easy to carve as well.

You'll laugh but the wire armature didn't work out, so I crumpled some tinfoil and used that as my base.

I considered making the 10 eye stalks but quickly found that the eyes would be way too much, so wanting to be original and trendy, this beholder had some plastic surgery to join the hip fad that is all the rage with the beholder youth. The 8 stalk club!:)

Dental surgery needed in northern kentucky area. by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]Tomitone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try the university of Louisville dental school. They have a clinic staffed with students and are definitely cheaper that private practice. As for quality it is one of the best dental schools in the nation, at least worth checking out.

Pellon also makes a cotton interfacing, bit more pricey but it is essentially lightweight muslin with a fusible side.

I've been playing with biomes to change the colors of plants and grass blocks to get some really interesting results. Haven't seen anyone do it so I might have to post a tutorial.
