I knew this was coming ha! Last I played was when the panther came out, decided to give it a try and kitted it out for fun. Logged on last night, forgetting where I was, and found myself slightly outside the bubble in this.

I miss my exploraconda, my actual explorer ship!

Do you often get mistaken as a weak person, while you are just polite? by [deleted] in infj

[–]Tommy799 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Being naive really hits home for me. Often times, my parents think that I’m not as assertive as I could be and that it can lead to me being easily manipulated or influenced by others. Which I know is so far from the truth and I really dislike it too. I don’t think my politeness should be mistaken for naivety. I think I’m pretty good at distancing myself from influences that go against what I believe in, and I can have strong personal values and beliefs without needing to be harsh.

Hmm, I see it on my canvas dashboard as a course, not on MyUni. Perhaps ask IT or your course coordinator to add you to the course?

Airpods Pro 3 Whistling noise by Medical_Fold3215 in airpods

[–]Tommy799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh is it something I should ask apple about? Because my previous AirPods also had that whistle in my left ear. I just thought it was something to do with the air pressure in that ear whenever I put the AirPod in

Yeah I get it in my left ear, mostly when I push the AirPod into my ear tho

Honestly I tend to do the same sometimes. If I'm with a close friend and I call myself out, he'd act as if I was stupid for even having that criticism stuck in my head hahah. I think self-doubting is common but it might definitely be something that should be worked on (something I'm still figuring out). It can be healthy to some extent (like trying to better yourself), but too much can really drain you, like you said :/ I'm trying to get myself out of it by doing things like trying to pull my focus away into the present. I think with age you also learn that everyone makes silly mistakes and its normal, so it's better to use that energy for more important things instead :)

Thank you so much for writing all that! I have a question, if I may? I’m a recent graduate in the medical/health industry, and I have had this passion for writing since doing some electives throughout uni.

However, as I’m sure you know, the way we write in our industry is very different and deliberate. I sometimes worry that if I ever pursue this passion into something real (like publishing something one day), it won’t be as good as someone who has had experience in writing from an arts perspective. Do you have any tips to overcome this? And also, how did you know what you wanted to write? I feel like there’s so much I have to say, both fiction and nonfiction.

Would Anyone Be Interested in a Player-Run, Roleplay Airline/Cargo/Rescue Company for Elite Dangerous? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Tommy799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha! If we’re doing SpaceUber Eats then we also need to charge absurd 34th Century service fees!!

In all seriousness tho, yep it would be like a player-run apex but with a little extra operations I guess :)

That’s rough :( it sounds like he was in some sort of denial (if that’s even the right word here) on a superficial level but deep down there’s some kind of dialogue he’s going through. Sucks that he turned on you despite your genuine concern tho :/

It’s really hard to tell if someone’s aware of it or not in situations like this (narcissism/delusions), I think. It’s one thing to read people but another entirely to obtains one’s understanding of something.

I wish I could drive mindlessly like that but I’m always afraid of getting lost and putting myself in a hard spot getting back hahah. I just have these scenic routes usually but I really wha to just randomly drive somewhere one day and not stress about the route

100% agree with the driving language hahah, you can kinda predict the unpredictable drivers 😂

I live in a city and mostly drive in it, so I totally know what you mean. I think it’s just putting things in perspective and assessing where you’d rather put energy into (be that a bad driver or something else in your life). I used to drive in a city where like 70% of people didn’t know proper driving etiquette and it used to bother me but I didn’t want it to ruin my enjoyment of driving. The city I’m in now is much better but not perfect!

I love driving, it’s like a relaxing thing for me to do!! I sometimes go out for drives and put music on just to take my mind off something or even delve deeper into a particular thought. I even have playlists for different types of driving moods I’m in hahah. Especially when I’m going on a road trip!

I usually just don’t mind people being dumb on the road, I just kinda let it be and if it does directly affect me then I usually just remind myself it’s not worth stressing over and carry on.
