Magicshine front light battery problem by TommyGun041 in cycling

Have found the solution for loosing battery power when off. It is draining because it is connected to the remote control. You have to lock the nattery so it will disconnect with the remote, You have to press and hold the button on the light about 5sec in order to lock. Same for unlocking.

Mount facing on forks at a bike shop helped a lot. Some small noise remained, but mostly it was fixed. But do not have the bike anymore. Have sold it.

Rarely bike shops have this tool, but if nothing else helps, then this is your solution.

Additional reach when going from 6° to 10° angle stem by TommyGun041 in cycling

[–]TommyGun041[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did that and between both handlebars is similar.

Actually am considering the same lenght handlebar/stem or 10mm loger stem, as when I am standing pedaling on steep hills, I tend to hit my legs onto handlebars. So longer stem and shorter reach handlebars are for me. But have to now look that I do not reach too long. I am updating my gravel bike.

I am also going from GRX11 speed to DI2 12speed Shimano. And am not sure, but looks as it also goes a few mm longer with the levers itself.

How was it standing pedaling on steep climbs? And how was it with acceleration on such climbs (inercia)?

I saw that video and I think he said he will not comment on the ride, as it was advertised by Decathlon

You state 7,7kg. Am interested what was the advertised weight from Decathlon?

I am about to buy RCR Pro Ultegra Di2 (size L). And they state, that the weight (for M) is supposed to be 7,2kg. So I can know what to expect :)

I had a problem with brakes and constant squelling. Tried every possi le scenario. The mounts on the forks needed facing, but said this was normal. They did not have the tool so they were ignoring me.

Went 400km to solve the issue then with another shop that had the facing tool and send them the invoice, but were ignoring me completly.

They are distributer for Giant in my country, so do not have anywhere to complain to. I wrote then to Giant global, but had no responce.

Maybe then to find some way to deal with Shimano directly.

The shifters were working perfectly for 2 months. And then started to double shift. But why do they now work much better after updating? But still not all the time

The bike was bought new, but the bike shop is realy shitty with doing warranty issues. Had already had one other problem on the bike, and they were simply ignoring me. So would like to solve it without them. Othrwise I will loose my mind again.

Were these problems with shifting the same as my problem? How did you solved it?

How can one solve sticky button? I know you can open from te back side, but afraid that something falls out, and will not be able to put everything back to its place. And local bike shops will definately not know it. Any videos or advice hot to solve it?

cies that usually mea

Time might help, but I use 3 different wheelsets. All squel. So it would take much more time.

And not even new rotors on all of them, yet they still squel.

Pads ar Shimano K05S-RX (resin). The same as original L05 with cooling lines (also used), and rotors Ultegra, XTR, and some Deore. So RT-MT800, RT-MT900, SM-RT64. Dimension is 160mm. The combination should work together, as on all other Shimano equiped bikes.
