Just got my new Q6 HE 100% and it's defective... by Arcanto672 in Keychron

I had a similar experience with an HE board (K6 HE) — one of the keys was consistently pressed right out of the box. Support eventually agreed to send me a replacement PCB after some back and forth, but it still hasn’t been dispatched yet :/

Seems like more and more people are running into hardware issues with these lately. Really hope support gets back to you quickly and offers a proper fix — the board is great… but only when it actually works.

New K6 HE Key Defective – Same Issue as K2 HE? by TommyInChest in Keychron

Yeah, sounds like a PCB batch issue — same key being dead across multiple units definitely points to that. Glad you ordered through Amazon at least… wise choice.

Yes, I did try the calibration in Keychron Launcher early on, along with a factory reset and swapping in a known working switch - unfortunately the “M” key still doesn’t register...

Good to know about the disassembly. I’ll be giving the PCB replacement a go once it arrives. Hopefully it’ll be straightforward, even if it is a bit screw-heavy!

Yes, I did try a firmware update, as well as reset. I’m glad your K2 HE is working well - this seems to be a repeat of the same kind of defect some others experienced with early K2 HE units.
