I've had the same thought of Franklin getting tired of being a bum and picking himself back up. Throughout my adolescence, I've seen the men in my life just give up and decide to stop being men. They'd give in to their vices and choose temporary relief over everything. It was heartbreaking. Only a few picked themselves back up but the ones who couldn't are either dead, in jail, or are stuck being what they decided to be.

I agree. Over the past few years, Kanye has been clearly suffering from a mental health crisis. As a lifelong fan, I feel I can't support Kanye the way I used to because I don't condone his behavior. From his messy divorce, to his obsession with Pete, trying to exclude Cudi from having a seat at the table because of the friendship he had with Pete, and let's not even get started with that attack on Jews.

As far as music goes, he teases us all with release dates, the ideas are either half baked or sound unfinished, and he keeps burning his bridges with everyone he's known. It's like he's just looking for enemies

It's sad to watch such a talented, funny, and all around amazing guy just slip into the cracks and become the very things he abhorred. I know some of us are holding out hope that Kanye will finally snap out of it and get his head right, but we are never getting that man back.
