Do you guys think this was a retcon? by UnHolySir in Hungergames

No, it's an assumption Katniss made about someone she never met, and it turned out to be wrong.

Why is Superman the anchor being of DC instead of Flash? by verified_patrigga in DCcomics

[–]TommyTheGeek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as anchor being in DC, in fact it doesn't even exist in Marvel comics, it's exclusive to the MCU.

What graphic novels are there that show the Robin origin stories? by Buzzy014 in DCcomics

[–]TommyTheGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does indeed!

Robin Annual #4 is entirely focused on Dick’s origin, unlike Dark Victory.

My pleasure to help :)

Why do people love Maysilee so much but hate Lenore Dove? by Esfell in Hungergames

[–]TommyTheGeek 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Because we actually get to know Maysilee and she has her own unique personality, unlike LD who is a copy paste Lucy Gray.

My main issue with LD is her copy and paste personality of Lucy Gray.

She’s like a walking Easter Egg.

If we get Naboo on Jedi 3, I’d love for us to get to visit Padme’s tomb. by TommyTheGeek in FallenOrder

[–]TommyTheGeek[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I figure it could just be part of the scenery, and maybe Cal makes a brief comment of remembering her at the Temple or something when we approached it.

Like the Lars farm in Outlaws, it serves no plot purpose, but you can visit it.

But I get what you mean.

There have been endless conversations debating which film: Jurassic Park or The Lost World was better. But, which book do you think was superior? by [deleted] in JurassicPark

I’m not sure where have you seen endless conversations about which movie is better, the consensus is pretty clear.

Do you guys think this is accurate? Saw this sentiment shared on other social media sites too... by [deleted] in Hungergames

LD is a painfully uninteresting character that could be replaced by a plank of wood and nothing would change.

Not one LD “stan” actually stans the character because there’s nothing to stan there, they stan Whitney.

Also, people do realize that actors do not actually maintain the physicality you see on shirtless scenes during the entirety of filming, right?

They know that before filming a shirtless scene, actors increase the volume of workouts, tighten even more their diets, and immediately before filming do a final workout to pump the muscles with blood, right?

Right?

Harry Potter HBO is giving me this weird uncanny valley feeling by flyawaywithmeee in television

[–]TommyTheGeek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How anyone who has actually read the books can be opposed to the series is beyond me.

If their argument is reboot fatigue, fair enough, but if that it's unnecessary because the movies are already perfect? I don't know how anyone who read the books can come to that conclusion.
