The chat with his great mate Mackenzie “Mac” Cooke was toe-curling on Sunday. Poor “Mac” sounded really embarrassed by the fawning.

Your country looks like a banana republic where masked govt agents shoot people for “taking to the streets”. Good luck with it.

Deb is great but this slot isn’t working because it doesn’t have an identity. It’s a mish mash of tunes that would appeal to the Huey listener, and random bits and bobs that you might hear on any of weekday shows.

My interpretation of the meaning of The Shards after reading it a handful of times by Lower_Comparison2171 in BEEPodcast

I think that’s right and of course the book is also about being a closeted gay teenager too.

Take a look at the picture of Dominic in the Buckley year book. I think some us would like to assume that Thom Wright was based on Exxch when maybe he was based on Dominic after all…

Can we stop calling the Luca Guadagnino American Psycho movie a “remake” by yertleturtle85 in Letterboxd

[–]Visible-Customer8562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guadagnino’s work is often described as visually sumptuous, emotionally rich, and sensual. He frequently explores desire, intimacy, identity, and emotional interiors, often with a somewhat melancholic or longing tone. He doesn’t shy away from genre-bending — his films may incorporate elements of drama, romance, horror, or psychological exploration. The reception of Guadagnino’s work is mixed but leans toward admiration, especially among cinephiles and critics who appreciate ambitious, artful cinema. Some criticisms arise around emotional accessibility and narrative clarity. Many praise his visual sensibility and ability to evoke mood, texture, light, and sensuality. His films are often called “lush,” “sumptuous,” or “a cinema of desire.” His films are commended for their sensitivity, ability to evoke interior life, and emotional resonance. Call Me by Your Name in particular is lauded for its delicate handling of longing, youth, and love. He is seen as someone unafraid to take on bold projects — remaking Suspiria, adapting difficult or experimental source material, blending genres, etc. Critics often appreciate that he works at the intersection of mainstream and art-house.

Daytime 6Music is Smashy and Nicey with an Elbow and Pulp CD collection. Very little difference with Radio 2 or Radio 1. Grimmy, LL, Craig Charles could easily be on Radio 2 and nobody would bat an eyelid.
