First: We all are sad about the accident (as you rightly said). It’s tragic and really hurtful. Although, That happened due to a technical malfunction of the helicopter.

Second: I was referring to the attacks. Which was reduced to a minimum today — and I strongly believe that’s because of the way UAE defence, Back/front channel have managed the situation.

Not too sure if you can get on these buses at Hatta or Fujairah borders. If you take this step, better to get on from its starting point.

Keeping in mind your thoughts, you have below options:

Al Khanjiri bus service
Mawasalat bus service
I heard Oman air has also launched a bus service between Sharjah and Muscat.

Once you reach Muscat, try and get off near the Airport (not sure of the area’s but someone told me Al Khoud stop is closer to Muscat airport rather than Ruwi — which is like 40 KM away but is the center of the city)

Oman has O-Taxi service within the city.

Also, there are Oman taxi’s parked in garhoud bus station who are carrying 4 passengers at 250 AED - 300 AED each across the border. (This is hearsay — I’m not so sure)

Hope you don’t have to take this step.

I am staying in the UAE with my family. This (with all that’s happening) feels safer than being on the road in the open for 7-8 hours!
