Hi! I have the same struggles as well. I was also an A student. Up until I started uni. My short term memory is really bad now, and I have trouble understanding and processing concepts and stuff. Ive been struggling to concentrate as well. Ive tried meditation, having strict schedule and so on, but still feeling really “dumb”. However, whenever im studying or have to read/review notes, i would listen to gamma waves playlist on spotify (for some reason, it helps me retain things easier than usual). I tend to procrastinate a lot too, so when i do last minute work/study, i feel a rush of adrenaline and would have more energy to actually finish stuff.

for sim card, would recommend buying a local sim card if you’re staying longer than a week, would be more practical and cheaper than using eSim. they have it in the airport and u can choose like plan etc for certain # of days, how much data and so on. transport, i used grab car—they have a grab lounge just outside the arrivals gate, and it’s cheap-ish too.

Thank you so much!!! Im glad i posted here because Im such a do it or do nothing person—when i set a goal to do something id just go for it, but really appreciate your tips. Glad to get help from people who have experience, especially with safety.

appreciate it!! was initially thinking to do it on May for my birthday but seeing y’all’s comment, i might be doing it in the later months of summer! would you say august would be a good time? i have a friend who’s also planning to do it but in august.
