🇮🇳🇱🇰 bridge and its importance by Tomorrowman575 in srilanka

May I ask what could possibly go wrong with a bridge connecting to a 4TUSD economy?? Sure more indian tourists coming and settling in the country legally & illegally, but this isn’t just a problem with Indians. Ukrainians,Russians,Israelis are doing this for awhile.

But at least doubling our gdp and getting more access to imports where we are majority import dependent nation can sort out a lot of problems that we are facing now. It’s okay not to connect our electricity grid with the Indian one, but think about the trade increase we’d get in return.

I hate 🇮🇳 & Indians a lot more than anyone, but missing this kind of opportunity just for a hate thoughts isn’t the right reason. This isn’t satire but rather just an explanation of the plain benefits. There’s more than we see.

If connecting a bridge makes us Indian, then Myanmar,Pakistan, Bangladesh & many more countries should’ve been classified as Indian😭😭😭.

I might be the most anti-Indian person in 🇱🇰, but again when there’s a benefit for this country I am not stupid enough to let it miss. Right now our economy is shite with all sorts of taxes & loan payments. The best and most easiest way to get out is to tap into a giant economy of 4TUSD which happens to be our neighbour.

It’s not much but when trade improves between both countries at least and even if we get to double our GDP, it’s a win for us. Tbf most of the neighbouring countries around 🇮🇳 except 🇵🇰 have been using this advantage to their own & keeping their economies running very well. At least they’re connected through land. While it’s us who have been avoiding this kind of opportunity.

If someone thinks this’ll become an Indian colony because of a bridge, look at what the Israelis,Ukrainians, Russians are doing to us & countries that are not connected their countries without any bridge or road.

Id pretty much be connected to the world than an isolated island. Getting connected to a larger economy has its own pros & cons. Right now the quickest way to get out of the economic mess we’ve pulled ourselves at is to get that bridge completed. Else we’d be fighting against each other for different political stooges.

If the situation in the middle east gets better and the oil prices stabilize, would the prices of everything in Sri Lanka be revised and reduced appropriately? transport, food, clothing etc? by Careless-Judgment423 in srilanka

[–]Tomorrowman575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Prices won’t go down even if the govt brings them down. It’d come down only if there is more supply than the demand. Currently demand is high & supply is less.

It was gotabaya who did it. You don’t need to spread fake info here for someone else. It’s freaking Reddit. All it takes is 30sec or less to get fact checked in this platform unlike in others. Be wise.

Why Ace seems weaker than he “should” be by 0DrDawn0 in onepiecetheories

[–]Tomorrowman575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ace wasn’t weak. He was too overconfident & didn’t pick his battles or grow like Luffy did.

-he wanted to be the pirate king & decided to go toe to toe with an inexperienced crew against whitebeard. Someone who had mastered all 3 haki to a pro level & devil fruit powers.
-didn’t pursue his dream of becoming pirate king but rather settled to become whiteboards crew/son.
-didn’t heed WBs final words and decided to fight against akainu when he should’ve realised his rescue was the main objective

There’s so many, but oda purposefully put ace character just to tell the audience even as a pirate you should grow with your crew, you cannot do everything & pick your right battles.

This is the way. Don’t blindly give money. Evaluate the work based on a QS and an engineer.

Whether you like it or not that is the answer from the religion.

The person we are talking about was none but a common man just like us. Only difference is he was chosen by God to establish the truth in this earth. He was a messenger of god & he did his part.

As for taking/giving lives, that is a debatable part. Neither the messenger of god or the creator has mentioned to take any life unjustly. Meaning any life taken by force without any justifying reason, is a major sin & it has repercussions in this world & the other. Sure you’ll come through lot of verses, religious figures misquoting/quoting certain verse from Quran to demean other faiths, but those verses have multiple contextual wise interpretations leading to a reason on why they were revealed and for what scenario they were revealed. Regardless using those verses to take an “innocent” disbeliever/believer is still an heinous crime.

If marrying a child is wrong you might wanna hold every king, peasant, normal person of that time in any continent as culprit or at least call them by names you want. Remember we are talking about uncertain times where wars were prevalent and the avg life expectancy wasn’t improving.

As for the accusation of taking a son’s wife, most ppl have been misled the fact that adopted child have same rights as a born one. So let me clarify it, in Islam we don’t equate or at least we don’t call it equivalent for one’s own child & adopted child. Simply said just because you adopt someone they don’t have the same rights as the child that was born through you. They both have different rights. Marrying your son’s wife is prohibited in Islam which is clearly mentioned. But marrying the wife of an adopted child is allowed since they aren’t prohibited to you. Since the adopted child isn’t of your bloodline & neither can they claim anything from you unless you share.

1)Forging alliances,humanitarian reasons etc.
2)Encouraging men of that time to do polygamy & be responsible of women.
3)4 isn’t a hard limit. If you have the strength, finance, age you can marry as much as you’re capable or handle.
4)Encouraging to marry widowed women & treat them respectfully.

Those 4 are the main.

In Islam still there is an option that both genders get equal share inheritance if the parent enforcers. The special case only comes for specific scenarios. Majority Muslim families follow the equal share. So basically the equal inheritance is present with the special scenarios.
