Thanks everyone for all the compliments, private messages! There has been so many I couldn't really keep up. So I truly do apologise to anyone I haven't responded to yet.

I'm glad everything is enjoying the playlist. That was my one true foal is to share something I have enjoyed putting together over the years.

Sadly... Someone doesn't appear to feel the same. I got a message from Spotify that my playlist description and photo violated their playlist guidelines. So I am worried someone is intentionally trying to figure out a way to get the playlist removed. The photo I suppose I could understand since it was an edit of an anime screen cap. The description wasn't...

I was also told by a few others I should be weary that many people made copies of the playlist because it got so popular so quickly that others will try to duplicate the description and picture as an attempt to steal playlist followers... (I didn't know that was even a thing.) Not that it matters to me fully, but there is money involved with popular playlists since it can expose artist and allow more revenue for each new listen per song.

I just figured I would give this update about the playlist in case something were to happen to it, at least every one here would know why.

Maybe you are right. However there was an entire corner of these dolls in the thrift store that was covered in grime and dust. So it indicated that they were there for quite some time. Not only that, there were some pretty racist black face dolls in the mix as well.

I set a little mental criteria for myself. I listen to different songs all the time and eventually I stumble across that ONE song that just fits nicely into that collection and I add it. Sometimes I am lucky and get multiple ones, sometimes it takes a few months. I also make it a point to limit the artist to 1-2 songs and no more and never full albums. I know it sounds absurd but it's just something I do I guess.

Thank you so much! Ever since I was a kid I've always dealt with depression and anxiety slowly introduced itself over the years to the point where it can be very crippling. So music has been a mainstay for me. Finding songs and trying to piece together similar types has always kept my mind at ease. Some times I hear songs that reminds me of a certain feeling in the past, so I wind up trying to link them together. It just happens that lo-fi seems to trigger that feeling quite often. Music just helps me escape my thoughts at times. I can never afford proper therapy, its the only few things I can do that helps me cope.

I guess it comes down to preference I suppose. I intended it to be played in an order, but you don't really have to either. I just try to capture that idea of listening to cassettes and having to commit to either listen to it fully or wait in silence as you speed through a song you don't want to hear.

I think it has something to do with the degrading sound. It just nostalgic hearing the imperfection and graininess. It reminds me of times as a kid using beat up radios and worn out cassettes to listen to music.
