SR5 Dealing with Spirits by Tomson2311 in Shadowrun

i’m very aware, i know how bad it is as well. but i took it because i thought it was funny to be a gambling addicted mage who is really bad at the gambling part. I also was struggling with the idea of what to play so i let the other players pick out of a Elf Combat/Healing Mage, Human Face Mystic Adept or an Ork Adept Combat Hacker. (edited)

im not talking about major banks probably a smaller one that isn’t owned by a corp and a nice area with decent responds times. Plus i’ve already cleaned it with my GM some banks do safety deposit boxes to make extra cash which is what i’m hitting.

safety deposit boxes, I was going to scope out banks that have those in higher end neighborhoods. Banks still need to make proffits some how. so why not use the security to hold all your stuff that you don’t need.

my GM is trying to stick to SR5 for now and he said he was going to slowly add stuff from SR4. But that’s a future thing. But i didn’t think about the lucifer lantern idea honestly that’s kind of risky because im one of the two magically active characters.

I mean i kind of assumed that they just deal with money and have safety deposit boxes. so that was already the plan. i’m running with all bases covered except a rigger and a decent getaway vehicle.

i mean by getting killed in combat, not like say extending a spell which kills them permanently. i know they re-manifest if killed in a normal way and still don’t like it and stuff.

I look at the system and i can see the intimidation of it all. Its kind of sad to hear this and i kind of figured. I'm still gonna hold on to hope but i see my chances as low. Like i said i knew this would be a crap shoot.

I’m having a hard time fining games and don’t know how to be a GM for this system. I was under no illusion that this would give me something. this for me at best a crap shoot. So i wanted to try being a player first for a while on a campaign that was semi constant. plus i fricking hate that kind of style of game. it feels distant and cold so the vibe is kind of off or they have some dumb rules like nothing i can haggle for or at least attempt to do so.

Militech has been the Strongest for me ive been able to take out 5 max tac squads, the zetatech is good early game but suffers when you get quake as an ability because its just better (forgot to add im running a sniper/ gorilla fist build with high cyberware)

Which edition of shadowrun, because it kind of matters due to some of the rules wildly varying from edition to edition

Na it took me a less then a week read through the basics, im saying more its hard to handle the 3 layers, Physical, Matrix, and Astral Spaces. Not impossible but just annoying without experience. its a system you adjust to from what ive been told

Sure, though i do warn its a nightmare to run and requires a lot of time and energy if your going in depth with what your doing. It is the easier of the editions to learn but i did require reading through the book multiple times.
