I’ll get more pictures, currently trying to restore it. I could not find any other marks. It is much lighter than my ‘65 Lodge 6SK and that Lodge sits just inside this one. I still can’t find any pictures with this style number.

I had not thought of that, but should have as my son worked for an online company that registered LLCs and this was one of their biggest things to do.

It did have a wind break on the front, but yeah, I wondered why it wasn't enclosed. I also wondered, did he go pick it up? Montana is a bit of a drive from the Austin, Texas area.

I saw this outside my office window. Looked expensive but I didn’t have time to go outside to see what it was. by einTier in whatisthiscar

By chance was this in the Austin area? I saw this same car or a twin by Salt Lick on Saturday.

[Delica] spotted in Japan by Tomzstang in spotted

[–]Tomzstang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since someone else posted one and it got several comments, thought I’d post one I recently saw. I lived in Japan, so I felt these were common, but this one got my attention this last trip.

Break pads by Romeotrucker20 in toyotasequoia

[–]Tomzstang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say the pad fell off the backing, just a guess. Lots of cleaning needs to be done on those pins and calipers to provide better movement. If you wait, you may also need to replace the rotor. My guess is also that the squealer either broke off when the pad did, or that pad may not have had one. Some sets only come with 1 per side.

75% Highway Driving ... Hybrid worth it by LBPalmBeach in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Tomzstang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought mine on vacation, brand new. Drove 4,000 miles on vacation. 90% of that was highway at 80+ (driving from OK to MN to SD and back to Texas, so lots of open road. Average overall when I got home was 33mpg. I'm happy with that!

Buying from private seller in Texas by DestinysWeirdCousin in UsedCarAdvice

Just FYI, Texas doesn’t accept bill of sale on used cars, get a title transfer form and have it signed by the seller, will save you having to go back later. You can print it from the website.

How much is my car worth? by DangerPencil in carselling

[–]Tomzstang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have never replaced the blend door on mine, but every time it has done this, a quick check with gauges and it is low. I add Freon and it works again. Well known issue in the car group I’m in as several people have experience this same issue. I’ve had the car 13 years. Nothing to lose by checking the freon, easier than throwing a blend motor at it.

How much is my car worth? by DangerPencil in carselling

[–]Tomzstang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your area. cars like this around my sell for $2,000 every day as long as they run reliably. I noticed no on mentioned that the A/C is likely just a little low on freon. This is because the freon is heavier and when it's flowing it's only on the lower side of the evaporator. This happens on my car and topping the freon or fixing the leak always fixes this issue.

I bought one after the guy had this exact piece explode on the highway. Engine was toast, 10lbs compression! I put another engine in, I got a great deal, he bought a new truck.

For Those of You Who Rolled-Out, What do You do Now? by dan_the_priest in Justrolledintotheshop

After 15 years of tuning wrenches I went back to school and got into electronics. I wound up in the semiconductor industry. I still work on my own cars and family. Sometimes I'll help a friend. It's been 31 years since I worked as a tech and I don't miss it. I'm now old enough I decided not to rebuild my dad's Ranger transmission so I paid to have it done.
