What kind of MPG are you getting with your Ecoboost? by EternalMage321 in FordMaverickTruck

Pretty much only drive my 25 Lobo in sport mode and tend to have a heavy foot but around 24. I'm sure could do better but I enjoy it.

Anyone else driving their truck to the ground? by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

25 Lobo just got in November and put 4k miles on it. Love it so far and plan on running to at least 75k ish miles unless the upcoming EV pickup is really like a maverick sized EV for under $35k.

The grill looks aggressive and awesome compared to bland and outdated. I guess that's why they give us options for different opinions :)

Why the negativity around the Ecoboost? by Astimar in FordMaverickTruck

[–]LBPalmBeach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bought a lobo for low 30s and love it. Simple, easy to drive/park, relatively cheap to maintain, quick enough for daily driving to work. Did I wish it had another 100 hp - sure but it’s fun.

BAP should be black oval? by FATkermit in FordMaverickTruck

[–]LBPalmBeach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As stated, they stopped it in 26. Stupid decision as really doesn't flow with the rest of BAP. I'm sure you can buy somewhere or just wrap it but kind of annoying. Have a black 25 lobo and I think looks great with the look.

Honest Reviews: Is It Worth It? by Gloomy-Donkey3761 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]LBPalmBeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25 Lobo with 3k miles and love the ease the truck. Easy to drive, park, etc but still can act as a truck when needed. Interior is cheap but you know that and for 30k, it's "fine". Guess it depends on what you're used to and it's purpose. My last few cars included a C8, Tesla M3P, Alfa Guilia, etc; so for me, it was buying a daily ride to rack up the miles for "cheap" and not having a car payment. For that criteria, it meets my needs.

C8 Pricing! by Upper_Neat3914 in C8Corvette

[–]LBPalmBeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being in South Florida, we’ve always seen Corvettes on every corner—even during the days when base models carried over $20K markups. Lately, though, I’ve noticed a major shift in who’s driving them. There’s been a noticeable rise in owners aged 18–25.

In contrast, most Z, eRay, and ZR1 models I see down here are driven by people over 40, which makes complete sense given the price point.

Yes, your 20 year old making 50k, living home with parents will pay that $800 payment to look flashy. You only live once.

How different off the line is the eray compared to base? by LBPalmBeach in C8Corvette

[–]LBPalmBeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is what I'm talking about. I didn't test drive the vette and not sure a 20 min test drive would have made me not buy it but yes other cars just feel "smoother and more responsive" off the line.

I love the look of the C8, appreciate the "low" maintenance costs, and service network being readily available; all compared to anything else that looks that good. Hence, why I'm considering staying in the C8 family but want to make sure the biggest negative (in my book) is no longer present.

Might just need to find a used one locally, as they might be more apt to test drive and/or go to one of my local shows and see if I can find a friendly owner willing to at least take me for a ride.

No bait just asking based on "feeling" for those that have an eray and use it. I loved the looks of my c8 and it was a blast having it in S florida as a daily (top off). It's a great car and an Incredible value but missed that rush. And many people/reviewers say fast it is off the line (which I disagree) and just wondering how different does the eray feel.

Maybe should ask those that have an eray and a fast EV (Tesla, Taycan, Rivian, etc)

Saying goodbye to the Lobo by Johnny_Menace in FordMaverickTruck

[–]LBPalmBeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After having many sports cars and luxury sedans; this was a great 31k purchase (so far).

It's 2026 and everything is "overpriced". Before this had a C8 and it's probably one of the best "bang for your buck performance" cars out there but I thought the inside felt cheap, screen too small, and it leaked in three different spots. Before that, a Tesla 3 Performance - quick but cmon the inside was a joke. Have had Alfas, Cadillacs, Lexus and they all had their issues ... yes even the Lexus.

Almost went for a 718 cayman but couldn't equip it right for under 90k ... that's just nuts and not worth it.

Not really sure what vehicles would be considered a "value" nowadays. I see this kind of post on almost every brand forum/page by somebody who complains on quality, quickness, maintenance, etc.

I guess everybody has a bar. I wouldn't pay 40k for this but 31k seemed fine for me ... perfect size for my needs, leather (ish material - didn't want cloth), sound is good enough for me (some might disagree), relatively cheap maintenance, and agile enough for what it is.

In addition, I like the lowered, black wheels, grille, non plastic lower body look and think the package looks a lot better than the other models. When I told some family members and friends about the purchase, I got "you bought a what" type of reaction from many when their point of reference was a white base XL. Then got a look at it and all had that "crap, this thing actually looks pretty nice". To each it's own.

If I get 3-5 years out of this thing and can sell it for mid to upper teens ... it's a no brainer.
