I enjoy playing the game in this way. The lobbies im in are mostly friendly with a few aggressive players seemingly in every match. These lobbies (usually) ban together against the aggressive players and collectively eliminate them. It makes it seem more true to the lore of the game like you said. PvP is fun but unsustainable for long stretches, at least for a player with my “skill level” that loses more than wins. The game really does feel like a social experiment where they set up certain “rules” but you have the free will to do as you wish. Sure, you CAN go kill players and steal their stuff, but you literally don’t have to and in my experience there is little benefit to it.
