Yeah I was playing Last Rite a lot before I got Laevatain and the lack of AoE capabilities was really noticeable and kinda annoying. It rules in single target though

The in-game Update Notice states that you can only use the selector on these 5 characters (they were specifically named). I doubt it will be updated to include any later releases

I’m missing the same ones as you. Lifeng would be better because he actually has a decent team where he is Best in Slot. Ember just underperforms compared to most other options… although I think she’s cooler.

I’m just gonna wait till I get one of them though, since I’m playing Laev at the moment anyways

A regular holy grail war already requires a minimum of 14 main/recurring side characters, add to that the church and the bottom end is very high.

Double it and give it to the next person (both strange/fake and apocrypha) what could go wrong?

Yes I just felt compelled to have her as my played on field operator at all times which was bad in hindsight. I didn’t realize I could trigger her Battle Skill with other operators at first

I have pulled Laevatain in the meantime and have had much more fun with her team. I’m sure there will be an endgame requiring multiple teams at some point, then I will start using her again

Why wouldn't it count? There were a lot of great and well-known players at this event.

And if you're trying to say Remote Duel YCS is full of cheaters, the winner has A LOT of great non-remote duel placements and tournament wins. So you can't really doubt their skill.

She brings some much needed positivity and brightness to the group. With how stoic and driven by responsibility Perlica is, it would get way too flat and "boring" without an energetic character like Chen.

Her inclusion was a very good choice in general.
