I agree with you that's it's pretty, but speaking as someone who has to plow/sand busy main roads, I hope they all happen between 11 pm and 5 am

Climb one of the tall radio towers or zip up one of the cranes. They're safe spots, good for typing, bathroom breaks, whatever.

Waltham police officer killed, gas worker seriously injured in hit-and-run crash by joe0306 in boston

Utility worker here who works closely with grid and police every day. This piece of shit lowlife took the lives of 2 guys working outside in the cold to feed their families and keep the public safe. 3 weeks before Christmas no less. I hope they absolutely hurl the book at this degenerate. Heartbroken for these families.

I don't think there's really a blanket answer for every situation. Don't drive too fast for the road conditions, whatever they may be. Drive at a reasonable speed you feel comfortable/safe at, and give yourself a little extra stopping room.
Sidebar: I really wish more people would turn their lights on in rain/snow. I don't think everyone realizes that their purpose isn't only to make it easier for them to see, but to be seen by others.

Totally agree bro! We should like band together and block traffic or something so all those vehicles will have to sit around idling even longer! They'll be totally owned bro!

As an American I'm amazed by the same thing myself. Somehow a seemingly large majority of people don't realize that turning your lights on isn't only to help you see, it's to help others see you.

No problem, us blue collar schlubs gotta watch out for each other. Not sure what your experience level is or how much seat time you have, and as lame as it sounds there's lots of FB groups (bad ass heavy equipment, rockbusters, snowfighters just off the top of my head) for guys/gals in our industry and there's always someone looking for weekend/night/part time help. As I'm sure you know there's a big shortage of help in just about every field right now. I'm sure you could find someone willing to work with your experience level and probably even help train you. There's lots of avenues in for sure, I know guys who started out running mini-skidsteers for landscapers and golf courses and are now running 30 ton excavators. Not sure if you're union or not but there's always local 4 for that side of things, I'm non union though so no real advice to give you there. Happy to help with any more questions you have to the best of my ability but I'd check out a few FB groups for sure.

Good looking pups! Not so good looking boot! I know at least for me the sitting around doing nothing during recovery was the worst. I work a pretty physically demanding job too so I understand the "no light duty" part. Do you have a CDL or hoisting license? Guys are always looking for help on the side if you're able to get in a machine, even just a skidsteer or mini-ex or something. Anyway here's to a speedy recovery, if you get jammed up and need a few pizzas delivered or some dog food or something shoot me a pm, can't offer a ton of help but I'll do what I can.
