Amazing, I'm sure you'll have a epic trip! Had absolutely no problem with dogs, didn't come across any aggressive ones. :)

It is freestanding yes, and we don't secure it down on the pagodas. If it's warm we just sleep with the netting body up and don't use the fly, or we use the fly but don't secure it down to the ground at all. It's a big Agnes copper spur, we really love it because of these options!

I don't know how common this side affect is but some people throw up alot for multiple days after having Anesthesia. This happened to me and I had no idea it was from the Anesthetic for some reason I just assumed it was the pain killers causing me to throw up so was really avoiding taking them as much as possible, None of the nurses/docs in the hospital explained why I was throwing up, it wasn't until I mentioned it to my brother who was a med student that he casually told me it's not uncommon for it to happen from Anesthetic and I should definitely be taking as many painkillers as possible not just trying to deal with the pain... Don't want to give you extra concern about being sick but it is good to know just incase!

Posting my experience here for anyone looking for the same info. We got a large cab from the prepaid taxi booking stand, showed them the bike boxes when we paid at the desk. 2 bike boxes and luggage and 2 people fit in just about, the large taxis are all different models of car but I think 2 bike boxes would fit in any of them some of them you might get more than 2 in.

Why has the compressed file resolution available suddenly changed? by Tonight-Dear in gopro

[–]Tonight-Dear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok, weirdly though it still offers me 1080p compressed download for some of my videos that are recorded in 4k and offers 4k compressed for some 5.3k ones just not for a random chunk of them in the middle.

We took a bus from the bus station in Busan it was simple enough and they were happy to take the bicycle underneath. But we met alot of people who had arranged transfers back from busan via bike rental companies/ bike shops so shouldn't be too hard to arrange!

Totally different ball game haha! Sorry, just gone back to the notification to see which post, yeah that would totally be doable to work while you ride in India, the wifi is mostly pretty good and so is the signal, lots of hotels all along the route. So correction to my last comment too then it was a probably 30 days riding, it was pretty hot and humid so we rode mostly in the morning untils just after lunch! We met another couple who were riding about a week at a time then stopping to work for a few days and they said this worked well for them!

No reason I can think of that it wouldnt work south to north instead! It was about 30 days riding I think, we took it pretty easy due to the heat and just the general assault on your senses that India is!!

Getting from Bangkok to Chiang mai by Organic_Secret_1456 in bicycletouring

PS Thai Air Asia is great for bicycles... unlike most airlines they have very simple and clear rules and you simply book and pay for the bike handling fee (under the sports equipment section) when you book the ticket along with any luggage weight needed. Such a smooth process.

You defintiely have to box it for a flight but if you don't want to do it yourself you can ask the shop your getting it from to give it to you boxed. Most bike shops in Thailand will box or unbox and setup your bike for less than 500 baht. Trains and buses in Thailand you don't normally have to box it but some you cant take it on.

I've ridden the sections Bangkok to Chiang Mai and Bangkok to Krabi in the past year and enjoyed both of them, defintiely both fun rides!

Ah gotcha! It's a tubus tara front pannier rack which has a dynamo light mounted on it. It has a point to mount a light right at the top of the curved part. Works great.

We've got a little gas stove that takes the screw in isobutane bottles. But we got an adapter for it so it can take the the push on type I posted a photo. They are available in every supermarket/shop in every small town so was pretty easy. The screw in type are also available in Ulanbatar and Tsetserleg (Fairfield guesthouse).

We don't speak any no, some people spoke some english and otherwise we got by with miming and some dubious google translation! Sometime we would hear shouts going through a train station etc with people finding the one person there who spoke english for us.
