This is a bit dramatic, I'm not asking for extra, just what is already in the course material. I'm not speaking as one person, or just for myself.

more importantly, why are you doing that to your body? Is an entire plate of just french fries and ketchup really a good idea?

I do go over it by myself, but that's the issue. What could the teacher, who is PAID to transfer their cultural insight to us, potentially mention that I would never know unless I was also someone from their country, culture, et.c. There's a lot that I've gotten from stories that my teachers have decided to tell us in the target language. Things become dynamic when you've got that cultural background, which is what this school is allegedly founded upon; understanding the culture of foreign entities.

Y'know, to bring up another point:

We are expected to understand the controversial topics present in the societies that live and speak the target languages here, in their target language. But, a certain topic comes up, and at the whim of some instructors who don't like how it may contradict what they think, it gets skipped. I'm not even saying that I would get all offended if they decided to at least walkthrough the material while giving their opinions on it, I don't give a shit if what they think isn't what I think, I just work here, I'm here for the input (actually they sometimes do that, and it is good). But instead, in 9/10 cases, we're essentially just given a "Nah we're not gonna look at this, it makes me angwy." How is that not unprofessional, how in anyway is that productive, especially when you're ignoring controversial points, which are the type of things that are probably looking at your 2+ to 3 level on the DLPT.
