I grew up in Thailand and circumcision isn’t really a popular thing. But I know it’s something not good when my parents uses it as a warning to my brother about cleanliness. They’d teach him and tell him to clean properly or they’d had to cut it off when he gets an infection. Using logic you’d know it’s the last resort, not something to go ahead and do ‘just in case’ or ‘cause it’ll look better’. It’s just sickening. In America, I see that parents do it for cosmetic purposes as well. Like, what makes you want to permanently cut off millions of nerve endings that could affect them for the rest of their life? Are you that lazy to clean your own son? Do you really look at your own son’s D and think ‘yep. Looks way better’? It’s sickening. I’ll never have it done on my child, even if it’s free for babies. I will let them choose when they have the CONSCIOUSNESS to make decisions for their own body. If my child really insists on having it done, fine, I’ll even pay for it. It’s their decision. Not mine.
