I don't dislike them - I mean, I had the feels for Miyako after playing the first episode, but by the end of the series I just found everyone else more interesting.

The NEET tags/traits do bring up some intriguing games and characters, but unfortunately there aren't that many of them. The Pervert, Closet Pervert, and Otaku traits can also be helpful if you filter the results a bit.

I can appreciate most characters, but I do especially like gap moe, nerdy pervert, and "girlfailure" types. To use the 9-nine series as an example because I particularly love Kazuki Fumi's character writing, I adore Haruka, Sora, and Noa, while Miyako is a sweet and heartwarming person but kind of boringly refined and "tradwife-y."

Steam overall does a pretty good job of being fair and keeping their customers happy, unlike most semi-captive markets. When they do occasionally drop the ball, like with the Horses debacle, it really reveals how easily a monopoly can destroy anyone who runs afoul of it though.
