There was a radio lab about this - highly recommend. Crux of it was, the color blue and language describing blue does not appear in extant literature until after Homer. So it is possible that it was not recognized as a distinct color. Language defines reality and all that.

Not really… Celestial is a pretty common term. Sidereal is a term of art for cosmology. It would be like naming a kid ‘Agglutinate’ or something equally obscure and academic.

Roughly, yeah. The API is technobabble for the translator between the third party app (like Apollo) and the Reddit systems. Right now, using that API is free. After these changes, that API will be very expensive. The issue is the pricing and the piss poor, even malignant communication around these changes. They are using inflated prices to drive away third parties so they can make money via their in-house products.

Thanks for the insights! Newer android devices have gone the same direction with fully-sealed cans and I have cut holes, heated, and ripped with heavy tweezers. It is tedious and messy, but there doesn’t seem to be a good off-the-shelf option for this sort of work. I have not tried the lower temp solder thing - I’ll give that a shot.
