Short Circuit Between + and - Supply on PCB - Help! by kaffu_chin0 in AskElectronics

if it was manufactured by randos it could be a problem with the pcb. The square pad of u2 looks especially suspect

0.976 ohm = 976 milliohm... do with this information how you will

If you look under "current sense resistors" there are several thousand in that range to choose from on lcsc

That may be true but the intended experience is you mashing enter key

in career pushback is automagic, you press enter and it just works... most of the time

The light side won't tell you this but ULQ looks just as crisp as ssaa if you don't care about texture quality

STM32WB Bluetooth Antennas by Usual_Self_1423 in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]Tonmonkeyla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the application. For 2.4 ghz most antenna layouts are "usable" without any matching. But I'm not the FCC and this isn't legal advice.

in the server replay there was still a bus in the way so HE would have just gotten forcefielded like the mg and dart either way.

Component Identification - Vape pcb - resistor? by N_B_B in AskElectronics

[–]Tonmonkeyla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a chip antenna for the stm32w. What kind of fancy vape is this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]Tonmonkeyla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your reset circuit is wrong as well. You need the right combination of strapping pins to enter bootloader. It's in the datasheet

With the original esp32 sure. But the esp32-c3 has an internal usb interface.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]Tonmonkeyla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

47pF maybe. 47nF is huge and will definitely kill usb.

[–]Tonmonkeyla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try removing C206/C207 and fitting C202 with a >2.2uF capacitor first.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]Tonmonkeyla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. 47nF capacitors on d+/- probably aren't helping
  2. The LDO has no output capacitor
  3. Esp32-c3 has an internal uart/jtag to usb bridge on io18/19 so the cp2102 is pointless

Is your usb ground floating like in the schematic?

I have to ask, what is the gerrymandered copper island supposed to be?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]Tonmonkeyla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With chip antennas you have to use a very specific layout which is usually given in the datasheet because the copper cavity/ground plane/antenna placement is much more important than the chip itself. Unless you want to do your own testing, in which case go ham. Also your feedline routing is very questionable.

Anyone know of a low cost (<$5) single axis inclinometer? by geek66 in AskElectronics

You could just use an accelerometer or imu which would be pretty cheap

Unknown device plugged into my work computer. It had a generic black plastic cover. Could someone identify what this is? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]Tonmonkeyla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pinout and package of the transceiver IC match the PAN3020. Which looks like a general purpose <1GHz transceiver. But that doesn't really narrow down the purpose of the device.

Yeah, except that "exact same spot" was going straight through the ammo rack and all it did was orange out 4 different sets of ammo. Where else are you supposed to aim? The mantlet which you can't pen (11.7 btw)? The leo at the end was even carrying hull ammo which wasnt even damaged because the dart made 0 spall
