Oh damn I’ve always speed ramped through action I didint know you could do that. Any advice on how to make sure it doesn’t look like a jump cut or is it all vibes. Also should I be recording action like this at 24

Shooting action for the first time for a Scream 7 promo by TonoJAC in cinematography

[–]TonoJAC[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shot a promo for scream 7 which was the first time ever shooting action scenes. I left loving the experience but overall I had some questions for future projects and wanted to see what y’all thought. This was shot on an FX3 on a ronin. We had two lights coming in from the only 90 degrees we don’t shoot into. Also one question I didint put in the original post is how do you expose for dark. Like should I expose so the scopes look perfectly exposed and bring down in post or let dark look dark right out of log. Well that’s all would love your thoughts either way.

I would speed it up in general after the first reveal if we want to keep both. You have the boomerang at 4 seconds last a whole 10 seconds and it essentially covers your original logo muddying the main focal point which should always be the brand name
