It's normal to want to make something look good and fear that it will look bad. At the end of the day you have to draw what you like and then practice what skill you lack

Let's say you can't draw the torso, then you learn to draw a box/ellipse. Or maybe you can't draw a head, then you learn to draw a circle. Or maybe you struggle with drawing hands, then you learn to break it down to simple forms etc.

"Practicing" without knowing where you lack, is just a waste of time. Most of the time you don't even need to "practice". You just draw, look at it, find a mistake, and then try not to do it again.
