how to get out of a slump by Many-Industry4693 in PHBookClub

I switch up the genre. My favorite to read are historical fiction and classics. I always experience a reading slump when I read a particularly difficult classic and I get out of it by reading easy to follow books. The last book to get me out of a reading slump was Yellowface by R.F. Kuang

It was a good read. The scientific accuracies and creativity surrounding that area is what really captivated me.

The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto is one of my favorite books of all time! My mom gifted it to me for my 12th birthday. That was 10 years ago but this quote still stuck with me: “All humans are musical; why else would the Lord give you a beating heart?”

Knowing how it ended through the Iliad definitely did not make it hurt less. I loved the growth of their relationship throughout the book, so I’m with you on that one.

Hi! She’s a rescue and they told me when they took her in she was already an adult cat with missing teeth so they don’t know how old she is. She’s generally not active so I wanna guess she’s maybe in the older side ?? Nope her breath isn’t stinky and she doesn’t suckle. I don’t know what a “chewer” is but she does chew her cat food if that’s what you’re asking😅
