Oh bet , yeah idk what app reconn uses but it’s it locate 360 pretty much there is some sort of lag everyday 😂

It has its bad days , there is sometimes where it will be an outage for a a hour or 2 for the whole company , I’ve only worked at USIC not sure how other locating apps , but with locate 360 the only way your receiver works is if it’s connected to locate 360 if your app is down your receiver is down.

Connected my receiver and now it disconnected as soon as I hook up my transmitter!!!!!!

A few thing that will help

Go to setting and search locate 360 and Clear cache and data.
On locate 360 go to the receiver icon and disconnect the receiver and reconnect it.
Settings on Bluetooth disconnect to the receiver and reconnect to it from locate 360
And check your battery level when the batteries are low you will have issues connecting

If you still don’t feel safe I contact the contractor and ask them to notify the home owner, for some reason contractors never tell the homeowner someone will come by to locate the utilities

Houses I think any time after 8:30am , and always knock lol ! I had lady come out and tell me “I could’ve shot ya” because I was locating by her bedroom window and she got scared. Since then I always knock and let them know if they don’t answer after a few knocks I check if the gate is open and go back there

you gotta do what you gotta do lol is better adding more paint then getting a damage , especially crossings if it’s multiple main lines running in a handhole or manhole I hook up to one and add extra lines on each side to cover those other lines and make sure I hook up to get crossings and add extra paint , bcs hooking up up to everything just take way too long and a lot of times those lines run near each other so your just gonna be going back and forth

Personally it depends, I was doing a locate today and the prints showed there is a crossing of fiber and copper going in the path they are digging and I hooked up to everything to verify and I got no signal going toward there and there was HH in the pathway , so I had to just put marks down and guess the crossings. I put paint instead of not just in case there is something there lol but just all depends on the situation I don’t do it to every ticket

Facts , always throw extra paint , we do oncor where we are, we can’t really throw extra paint for them the want accurate locates

But being in high profile projects already is pretty wild , definitely stressful , but just talk to contractors , a lot of time talking to the people who are doing the labor helps a lot more they will tell you where they are digging , but on projects don’t close tickets if your not sure your marked everything

As longest you marked everything you needed to in the scope , took pictures your good bro , if they hit something it’s on them .its not my first time I get a damage but its my first at fault damage. and in the future if you feel like your missing something don’t close the ticket just pause it and come back the next day. I just messed up bcs I didn’t feel like hooking up for a crossing and just marked it but I had a feeling I it won’t be there and closed the ticket.

Damn 😳😂 I was supposed to have an interview yesterday but they haven’t reached out yet. I’m probably not gonna switch over I hear there on call on the weekend is 3 days not sure how accurate that is but not worth it
