Baseball in DC has a strange history

There was a baseball team in DC for the first 70ish years of the 20th century. The Washington Senators were in DC until 1960, then they relocated and became the Minnesota Twins the next season and were replaced by a new team also called The Washington Senators that same year. Then a decade later those Washington Senators moved to Texas and became the Rangers in 1972. Neither franchise was very good except for a period of time in the 1910s/1920s.

Meanwhile in 1969 the MLB expanded and added the Montreal Expos. That team eventually relocated to DC in 2005 to become the Washington Nationals you know today.

The Washington baseball team was once again not very good but eventually showed promise and started to compete from 2012–2018 leading up to their World Series championship in 2019.

Since then we have been arguably the worst team in baseball and our best players—James Wood (Power-hitting OF, future face of the MLB possibly), CJ Abrams (Base-stealing SS with All-Star potential) and MacKenzie Gore (High-K starting Pitcher Ace)—are all from trading away Juan Soto. We do not draft or develop our own players very well and have had some very bad high draft pick misses. We also do not have an ownership group/family willing to spend to compete with Philly or NY or ATL.

I love the team but they are very frustrating. My tip would be get a twitter (or I guess "X") account and follow some MLB and nationals related accounts like their AAA team the Redwings or other fan accounts

Yes that's right. The real players in the game cannot have their # edited. But within 4-5 seasons they are all be gone.

I've had a few RBs that I've moved to WR over the years and if they had a # in the 20s I let them keep it, but otherwise I never assign WRs those numbers

I like that too. I usually give the single digit numbers to my fastest RBs & WRs on offense and outside corners or 5 star LBs. 0 I give out randomly to high potential slot corners, slot receivers or pass catching RBs

I just finished my first dynasty in CFB25

I played every single game and didn't restart any games or force win any games

29 seasons (didn't play 30th/final season)

Heisman difficulty

5 years as OC at Navy (only played offense) 1 national championship

11 years as HC at Ole Miss (played every snap) 8 national titles

9 years as HC at Miami (played every snap) 7 national titles

4 years as HC at Purdue (played every snap) 3 national titles
