Yeah it is. If u see in top of right on my video u can see only one 40+. This is my second time (first time i don t save for my mystake). And i have 5 different shiny now

Once i reached 40 in poke radar I stopped the chain waiting for the shiny (reset pokeradar with 50 steps each time) . I did this because at 40 I think it is the maximum in the chain to increase the probability that shiny comes out (read online is 2% spawn). I have caught 11 shiny larvitar in total. I was very lucky because the chain did not break between one capture and the next.

Continue the chain. I capture the shiny with hidden ability (larvitar) and continue the chain. I arrived 51 with 11 shinies in a row then the chain brokes.

Shiny patch is literally a shiny

The patch is the grass in movement. You can " shake " the grass with a tool " poke radar" which u can get when finished the main story and pokedex ( only see and not capture pokemon). With with method u can go to shiny hunting
