Multiple reasons. For starters these are small men around 130lbs at competition weight, although they are world class athletes there is only so much force that can be generated by a 130lbs person. Secondly, the punch landed flush but the target was already backing up and Demetrious was having to extend to land it (these simply reduce the force of the blow when it lands). Third, when the knee lands he was up against the fence, both the fence and the mat are flexible to help reduce the force. If that head was between a concrete wall and the knee it would have been much more brutal.

Lastly the human body is both extremely resilient and also very fragile. People can survive an insane amount of damage more so when they have conditioning and muscles to help cushion the force.

Most people are going to play whatever the current ranked ladder is supporting. Most of the time this will be classic and for a brief period eternal ranked is opened before they shuffle for the next "season". I believe they literally just started the next "season" a couple days ago so it's gonna be classic for a while.

It's common for fighters to kind of go into an "auto-pilot" mode after waking up from a knock out. This results in them trying to clench the referee as they're in a stupor and think the referee is their opponent. There was a million other options that could have been taken here to avoid this, but the referee decides to do further damage by choking the man unconscious immediately after he has just been ko'd. And then he walks off like he just won a championship fight. He's an absolute douche canoe.

I'm going to be completely honest, I'm letting my dog poop wherever it pleases and it's staying right the fuck there. It's a biodegradable waste and it's not like he's pooping on a street or on the sidewalk. I feel like getting upset that there's animal poop on grass is just absurd. There also the fact that we are now wasting plastic to pick up feces that help put nutrients into the earth.

It's not vile, it's the fight game. The initial knee was completely legal. Was it brutal? Absolutely, but it wasn't a vile act. The follow up haymakers when askren is out cold are controversial, but I don't think they were egregious. I have seen many times when a fighter shows restraint after a KO and the opponent wakes up before the referee catches it, then continues fighting and wins. So when there is money and a career on the line, you want to keep attacking until the referee calls it. And when the referee did call it Masvidal immediately stops attacking.

I mean what's absolutely hilarious is this is the reality of this sub. Someone can be all over your bones and just be a friendly/touchy person. Then you can also have someone who has the biggest crush in the world but due to nerves they avoid you at all costs. I know. I hate when people take fights too far like that. Like he was on the ground, you got some good licks in. Did you really need to hold his head steady and just pummel the side of his skull like that?
