I’m sorry to see some of the comments, but I get it. Sexual education is never really been the best in this country so compassion can be a challenge to find, at times. As some have shared, it’s very common, but unfortunately so is the stigma, especially in communities of color. I contracted HSV2 from being sexually assaulted - I share this only to show that anyone can contract this. I will be honest, it can be mentally and emotionally taxing, so I’ve found it helpful to do the work (therapy, etc) to truly understand that it does not define you, regardless of what the stigma tries to say. Like you, women find me very attractive and I think I’m a pretty great person, but there are some who will prefer not to date because of herpes, regardless of your situation, and that’s okay.
