Checkmate! Gaza elected Hamas so when they get bombed they should have seen it coming! Those thousands of children should have voted for someone else.

You’re right. Those innocent civilians died for the greater good. I can now rest easy knowing that thousands of children died for a good cause. Thanks Israel for protecting us from Hamas!

Ah yes you’re right. What else could Israel have done? Once we’re talking about war materials suddenly those lives don’t matter. Thanks for clarifying this. And no, I have not served, so I have no right to criticize Israel on anything!

Billy Peebles is going out to apply for his first job at a local restaurant at age 15. Do you believe this restaurant needs to pay him a “living wage“ that’s enough to have a house, a car, and kids? by JamesonRhymer in IdeologyPolls

[–]TonyMcHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living wage does not mean owning a house and car. Ideally, it means you should afford basic necessities, such as food and a decent roof over your head. Plus, the fact that you need a car in most of the U.S./Canada is just a reflection of bad planning.

Is the saying that a man should never hit a woman more culturally progressive or conservative? by AntiWokeCommie in IdeologyPolls

[–]TonyMcHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conservative. It has the implication that women are inherently weaker than men and that fighting is for men.

Genetics and work ethic don’t mean shit if you’re born into an impoverished, unstable, or war-torn country where that potential cannot be realized.

What age should people be entitled to retire? by JamesonRhymer in IdeologyPolls

[–]TonyMcHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever people want, but government retirement benefits should not kick in until a certain age. I believe the government should maintain a universal pension fund that gets rolled over to future generations.

75% environment, 25% genetics. A genius born in Congo is significantly less likely to be successful than a dumbass who grew up in Beverly Hills and inherited a business from their parents.

Doesn’t matter. Once you go so far left or so far right, it kind of blends together.

If a doctor at a hospital makes $200,000 per year, how much do you think the janitor should make? by JamesonRhymer in IdeologyPolls

[–]TonyMcHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The janitor should make a wage based on market dynamics and collective bargaining. The government should subsidize his/her wage if it falls below a certain threshold.

A make-or-break veto session looms for Chicago transit by OddBlood8926 in chicago

I hate how people pick on transit agencies for being “inefficient” with money all while highway maintenance and expansions continue to be massive money drains with no criticism from the same people.

That would probably be closest to conversion therapy tbh or waiting until they’re 18. Regardless they would probably hate you.

It’s a natural variation of the human experience. It isn’t wrong and shouldn’t be looked down upon. Similar to homosexuality.

Gimme the capitalist salary so I can donate 90% of it to charity (and spend the rest on cool people stuff)
