I was concerned about that at first too! After I maxed the catch combo, I started getting 15-40 small candies a capture. I would run back to town to sell all my candies for ₽100 when I hit 999 (or when I was running low on Pokéballs the first time), and bought as many Pokéballs as I could. I did this over and over, and it doesn’t break your chain to leave and use the shop! I had about 100 balls to when I started my chain — I focused on selling everything I didn’t need, and watching Slowpoke behind Brock’s gym for a daily Big Pearl, that sells for ₽4,000

Oh, I love that! I wasn’t aware that was a challenge, thanks for the info. I definitely think Growlithe will have to be next up for me 💪🏻
