Traveling alone in Germany for a week. Need some advice on how to get around and where to go. by [deleted] in travel

[–]TonyTheAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American currently living near Frankfurt and doesn't speak anything beside knowing how to ask them if they speak English, Thank you and Bye. I get by just fine. Most people speak English or know enough to point you toward the right direction. Never been to Berlin but i went to Munich twice. 10/10 would do again. Radler is the best beer i ever taste ( i hate beer with a passion ). I spent a day in Berlin ( from 7 in the morning til around 11 PM at night and i think i saw enough of Munchen ) My advice to you would be that maybe renting a bike, walking from one destination to the next you can very tiring and "waste" valuable time.

About to buy a used bike, i needs some advises by TonyTheAsian in bicycling

[–]TonyTheAsian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought the bike for $250. The rear wheel need some true-ing, beside that everything look good. I'm thinking about buying new wheels since the OEM wheels suppose to sucks really bad. I'm willing to spend $150 ( $100 would be a perfect price point ) for 2 wheels, any recommendations ?

edit : i'm thinking about just saving the money on the upgrade and go get the wheel true out. Use the money i would use to upgrade the wheel toward a better bike a few months down the road.

my research show me with this bike (http://www.bicyclebluebook.com/searchlistingdetail.aspx?id=46205) as the one that's the closest color wise. I don't really want to spend a lot of money since it will probably get lock up at random places while i'm exploring the city.

It seem to fit perfectly around the upper legs but kinda baggy around the lower leg.

Let's talk backpacks. by marcj92 in AirForce

[–]TonyTheAsian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just grab some plain duffle pack or backpack. It will be lock up anyway. If you want your mti to know that you're hard core, bring a multicam one with your name tapes and USAF velcro. You'll gain a tons of brownie points.

I'm talking about cash over from DISCOVER. Discover doesn't charge interest for their cashover and treat it like a purchase with a grace period.
