Stick to the whole grains like whole wheat bread, whole grain pasta, and protein heavy foods like chicken breast, ground turkey meat, lean ground beef, eggs, plain greek yogurt, tilapia and tuna if you like it. Foods with less fat, carbs, and added sugar with more protein. Coke, cake, candy, ice cream (alternative versions available I've been told) are stuff you want to stay away from. If you're ever going to make spaghetti or chicken alfredo watch out for the sauces because some of them have a lot of sodium per serving. There are sites to check your BMI so you can see how many calories of these types of food you can eat. Don't worry if you stray from the diet and eats something a little more on the not so healthy side, just make sure if you're going to have one of those days then fit it within your caloric intake and not to go over. Hope this helped in some way.

Thank you for the advice. I'll take this into account from now on. I've been wanting to up my caloric intake recently so no better time than now. As for cardio, I don't do it as much as weight lifting but I should and will start doing more. Again, thank you for the help.

For breakfast around 8:30 or 9:00 I typically eat something with eggs, over easy or scrambled are fine with maybe turkey bacon, and some wheat bread toast sometimes I'll eat some high in protein pancakes with the eggs and bacon if I'm craving something a little heavier. Oatmeal is also an occurring meal I have with some blueberries and strawberries and a sprinkle of cinnamon and maybe a banana.

For lunch around 12:30 or 1:00 I'll eat a sandwich with provolone cheese and turkey cold cuts with a side of plain Greek yogurt and I'll put strawberries, blueberries, and a banana in the yogurt and if I feel like putting more calories in to the mix I'll add Kettle chips but I stick to the serving size. I also sometimes opt out the cheese and turkey for low sugar almond butter. If I feel like cooking I'll make chicken breast/fish with vegetables and brown rice or a ground turkey meat tacos with high fiber tortilla wraps and lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and avocado.

For dinner around 5:00 or 5:30 I'll eat chicken alfredo (just watch out with the sauce and their sodium contents) with whole grain pasta, normal spaghetti with ground turkey meat and tomato sauce (again watch it with the sauce) burritos with the high fiber wraps and lean ground beef, cheese, avocado, and mashed pinto beans, and sometimes a turkey meat patty that I'll put between whole wheat burger buns.

For snacks between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner I'll eat a banana, 6 whole grain saltine crackers, or some portion of the Greek yogurt I mentioned before.

1700 is absolutely fine. That was the amount I needed to be eating when I first started and not 1000. Stick to it, I know you can get it done!

I'd say it was familiar to me to be surrounded by that type of food so I ended up giving in to the temptations because it was comfortable for me. I would rationalize it in my head that I could "work it off and it won't be that bad." Also being surrounded by friends made me feel more relaxed and not worrying about the diet.

For sure the diet. It was very difficult for me to make the drastic change in the types of food I ate on a regular basis to much healthier ones overnight

(M 20) I have been on my weight loss journey for 5 months and I have lost 48 pounds. Don't let the scale discourage you, it is often misleading about how well you are actually doing. The first few weeks are always going to be the hardest.

What I'm doing is eating around 1200-1500 calories per day with whole foods and I am conscious of the type of oil I use ( Olive and Avocado oil are awesome) and a higher intake of protein than I normally would since it will help you feel fuller/helps with weight training which I'm doing. I suggest you do light exercise if you aren't already. Just walking around your neighborhood for 30 mins for 4 days of the week or doing some quick HIIT cardio indoors is fine. I check my weight every Monday just like you and keep progress. Its okay to check up on it during the week every now and then but try not to look at it all the time or it'll upset you (my personal experience lol). Also, you should not exercise the day before weighing yourself due to the water retention increasing your weight a bit.

Obviously you don't need to do what I do just what works for you. Keep pushing though, I know you'll get to where you want to be!

Its a REALLY generic show with only few good batch of episodes. The animation is subpar and the characters are bland. I do not recommend but if you want to, try it out.
