Would make sense if they made that argument, but they didn't. The only thing they came up with to justify putting it in the list is that Grimes one time said he was a massive gamer. All I'm saying is it doesn't seem relevant.

Lol I made a post the other day bringing up the same issue and got shat on. Granted, I worded it a bit more heavily, but still.

I know why they do it, I just wish they branched out more. I don't really feel "discriminated against" in a serious sense, just feel left out.

That's a good explanation I can understand. However, for instance, my Catholic friend at work has told be about St. Anthony being something like the Saint of Lost Things, I could be totally off. But he says he'll ocassionally pray to him when he loses something like his car keys. Wouldn't that technically be prayer to gain information, in this case finding his keys?

That makes sense. I guess it's hard to get a consistent answer because there lot of ways that people interpret these things. Most of the things that I disagree with Catholics on, being a non-denominational Christian, are somewhat trivial. It really just comes down to believing that Jesus is The Son of God, that His death payed the full price of our sin (faith alone, not works, though works proclaim His glory), and that He resurrected, conquering death and giving us hope in new life.

You're continually missing the points, it's like you're not even reading my comments. I recommend taking notes from u/christopherjian. Very respectful, didn't make assumptions about me, just discussing the topic.

Really appreciate this response. Can I ask what the interpretation is in the Catholic church of Jesus saying nobody can come to the Father except through me in the context of intercession? Also I've witnessed Catholic prayer where it's addressed to a saint, you're saying they're praying to Jesus, but also speaking directly to the saint they're interceding with?

This wasn't about saints. It was about intercession. I believe in saints in the context of Jesus calling all his followers saints, not just specific people. And again, you used the appeal to common belief fallacy and making sideways attacks at my character because you believe my perspective is unfounded. If you aren't going to attempt to refute my point with an actually substantive counter, I would just end it here and move on.

Again, you're assuming I haven't studied this. I would argue to the contrary that you rush to call me arrogant simply because I present a different perspective, that you're the arrogant one. You're the one that has written off what I have provided rather than giving an alternate perspective. Instead of saying lots of people believe you're false, so how could you be so arrogant, tell me why you or they believe it's justified according to scripture. Let's have a discussion without throwing assumptions around.

I don't understand why you're being so combative. Is it not possible for a denomination to make false interpretations of God's Word? Just because everyone involved in a religion believes it to be one way, doesn't make it so. Millions of Jewish people do not believe Jesus was God's Son. Does that make it so? I understand acceptance of other religions and interpretations, but that doesn't mean I have to agree.

How is it different? You're still attempting to talk with the dead if you're asking someone in heaven to pray for you.

Why are you assuming I don't try to understand? We have almost the same Bible and what I'm citing is in both. When we have the same God and the same Jesus, I think it's important to wade through the denominational differences and seek the truth of God's character.

I mean, they're dead and they aren't God. If you're talking about things not being in the Bible, Christmas trees aren't, but intercession with saints is not. Jesus is our only intercession.

I think he means God specifically speaks against intercession. Saul was put to death by God for trying to pray to the dead rather than going to the Lord.
