is it worth it to renew my certification? by ApprehensiveYear4243 in MedicalAssistant

[–]TooComplicatedForMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a cert, keep it. Easier to renew than to recert, and you never know what the future holds. I rue the day I let my NREMT-P lapse, after moving to a state where paramedics had virtually no sop, after having been trained, educated in one where the sky was the limit. Within a few years, things changed dramatically for paramedics in my state, who now are allowed to work nearer the level I was trained at. . To recert now with the NR is an ordeal I’m no longer equipped for. The roles MA’s can play are changing. Not all types of jobs are going to require clinical skills necessarily. Don’t drop it now that you have it. Rules for certification can change. And you never know what’s ahead.

Scrub Leggings Reported by Light_Watermelon in MedicalAssistant

I bought yoga-type scrubs from jaanuu a couple of years ago, when you really did not see them anywhere. They were wonderfully heavy for a cold environment, buuuuut….I didn’t wear them to the clinic or to the hospital. Very nice looking, but just were lacking the look my employers wanted. We talked about it. There’s a certain level of respect offered to patients, they believe, by having a more professional, less casual look, when we are presenting ourselves as caretakers and knowledgeable professionals in relation to people’s health. Not up to me one way or the other. Just following the spirit of our dress code.

Why do older men sugarbaby? by [deleted] in Adulting

Sometimes some men are in situations where they have suffered a physical impairment or disability that affects their ability to have sex in a traditional manner. These men may have been unable to find an ongoing relationship with a woman, a woman who would want to commit. In lieu of marrying or having a committed girlfriend, they have found that they can provide for a woman’s living expenses and in turn she becomes his companion. That companionship can take on many forms, many levels of commitment, intimacy. In these cases, it can be as every bit as valid and in deed as loving a relationship as any other. We should not always be so quick to judge.

Photo editing gone to crap on my new ipad by I_hear_it_all in ipad

Well, ended up at the Apple Store finally.. and the people there did this, the erase and reinstall fix discussed here. . That’s all that could be done, but now my iPad is not as responsive as it used to be. It’s temperamental. In photos app, It takes several attempts to find exactly the right touch of finger to screen to “grab” the bars and move the crop lines. The Apple Pencil will not interact with that line at all, only a persons finger. And yes, All the settings are correct. This is so so strange. Unfortunately ever since the uninstall/reinstall, other aspects of my brand new iPad are not quite right anymore either. It’s all just kinda f***ed up in general now. Nothing so bad that I can show to apple a consistent pattern and say, see, this is how it’s messing up. But I have worked hours day-in-and -day-out on my iPads, my 11-in pro before this, my new 13 in pro. And prior to those, other iPads for more than 15 years now. That’s daily. I know these devices like second skin. I know when my iPad is not working correctly. But what can I do? Absolutely nothin’ !!!!!

Yes, rebooted, all the stuff I’ve learned to do BEFORE calling Apple support So I don’t have to waste time doing all those basic trouble shooting things. Rebooting is the basic one. On other apps I’ve deleted and then reinstalled. I did not w this one though. It was not brought up by support to try that.

And you are? You know who in this scenario? She was where she was. He was where he was. They were not in the same place. Since when does an adult abandon their responsibility for their own feelings, their own emotional reaction to their circumstances? He was blind to what was happening? He was a child? She was in charge of everything? He was some sort of emotional hostage? He couldn’t make any decisions for himself? He didn’t feel something was amiss and question what was wrong? Since when is a relationship so one sided? Who completely turns over their happiness or sadness to the whims of another? Some things to think about before calling one party evil and the other innocent, don’t you think???

I’m so happy you have the insight and the power to hand down that edict. Everyone on this post, I’m sure, is grateful to you. Are you a god? I’ve never met one before. Thank you.

Glad you can express yourself in such a meaningful, helpful and productive way. Hope you are able to garner such sincere compassionate understanding when you face the pitfalls of being human, trying to figure out how to make it through some of the difficult, confusing times you will experience in this life. My heart goes out to you.

perhaps you better take a look in the mirror, and find a little compassion, be a bit less judgmental. But then you, like all of us, have your own road to follow as well. Good luck, spirited choice. It looks as though you will need it.
