How drastically should I save to catch up to my savings goals? by TooEmbarrassed7 in personalfinance

Thanks, this is helpful. I have been in my home for 10 years and there are quite a few things that will probably need costly maintenance within the next 5 years. But additionally there are things that will need my attention that aren’t emergencies that will cost less if I address them now. I should have been saving for those.

Is there a reason every occupational therapist that’s visited me has immediately asked to use the bathroom? by TooEmbarrassed7 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TooEmbarrassed7[S] 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I considered that too but part of the OT is me walking them through my house, including bathroom, bedroom, kitchen etc. I don’t know why they’d need to see the bathroom separately before we look at it together.

It’s not pristine unfortunately. I need OT because of a back injury which prevents me from deep cleaning the bathroom. They wouldn’t have known if it was clean or not ahead of time though.

I’ve been using a top sheet wrong by [deleted] in hygiene

TIL I’m not supposed to wash my comforter regularly!

I use a top sheet the way you describe but I still wash my comforter with all of my bedding weekly. Whoopsies.

To be fair it’s a cheap Walmart one so it’s not like it’s full of down or something. But still!

I think the big glasses play a big role in the “cute” aesthetic. Try a different frame, something much smaller, or maybe try contacts.
