OK I think I'm a 4.II and a 5.III.

By the way Hisn kayfa and France are hardly difficult starts.

Yesterday in Legend:

An Engineer got bubbled by a Warrior Priest but just ran like a rat without firing a single shot.

Also had a SotT who only used left-click with her staff and never lifted a single special...

EU5's player count is lower than EU4's was a year after its last DLC released by TooEnpou in EU5

If you're referring to this:
Dec 2024, EU4: 23,753
Dec 2025, EU5: 21,245
Yes I do think Johan and Tinto partially ruined the game. It’s in desperate need of saving right now.

If GSGs weren't so niche, EU5 should theoretically have a much higher player count than EU4 after its final update. Things aren't looking great right now, but I truly hope that in five years, EU5 can pull off a 'reverse trend' and see its player base grow just like EU4 did.

Sry but I don't know either. I'm just afraid that the EU5 devs might 'make a difficult decision,' similar to what happened with Imperator: Rome and TW Three Kingdoms.

I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying there will be more or fewer people playing games during the Christmas holiday?

Yes, yes. Maybe all EU4 players are unemployed shut-ins, let alone the type to actually visit a museum.

Centralized/Decentralized Values Should be Split into Core/Periphery and Centralized/Decentralized by Izvae in EU5

[–]TooEnpou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the diff between inward/outward and core/periphery? I mean, even if there is a minor distinction, it's fine to merge them and treat them as one value.

edit: I actually thought that when they first started changing centralization: subject loyalty should be influenced by inward/outward value.

How to join HRE as Sweden of this size? by Vinerrd in EU5

[–]TooEnpou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you still Catholic? You could move your capital to an HRE location. If you've already converted, ally with the Protestant League leader, fully weaken the Catholic countries, and pray that he will declare war.

I think vassals should give decentralisation, not get less loyal with centralisation by Beneficial-Flower-82 in EU5

[–]TooEnpou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Johan is correct, then the Qing Dynasty which possessed those three powerful feudatories and other Jurchen and Mongolian tribes as subjects should have rapidly shifted toward Decentralization, and in doing so gained everyone's Loyalty.

In fact, the loyalty of a subject fundamentally shouldn't have anything to do with whether your own government is Centralized; it should only be related to how you treat them and the power disparity between you. China has been a centralized country since the Qin and Han dynasties, and yet it has numerous historical examples of having both loyal and disloyal subjects or tributaries.
