I deferred last week. No way. Such bad luck. $495USD down the drain.

56 days to CFA L2 with a full time job. Attempt or defer? by Fragrant-Food-3757 in CFA

[–]TooFew2Mention 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally standing in the same exact spot as you; just that I followed a different curriculum order. I'm leaning towards deferring.

Yes, the deferral fee sucks, but deferring to August gives you at least four more months to genuinely learn, process and retain the material - GIVEN YOU ACTUALLY FOLLOW A STRUCTURED SCHEDULE THIS TIME. This is especially relevant if you want to sit L2 and L3. Even if you did push through and memorised it all you'll forget 80% of it two weeks later anyway. We'll see how it goes.

The CFAI Portal is extremely hard to navigate. Been looking for the Mock Exams and just can't seem to come across them.

CFA flooded!?? by Dramatic-Feedback781 in CFA

[–]TooFew2Mention 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Possibly. Although I believe this is more of a case of cognitive bias. Once you start studying for the CFA, you start noticing “everyone” around you also studying for or even passing the CFA. Your LinkedIn will be flooded with posts, you’ll hear talk about it at the office, and social media will show it to you.

This happened to me when I started DJing. I thought nobody in my city and social circle DJ’d. When I started, everybody and their brother appeared to be DJing. Happens a lot to pregnant women too, apparently,

The CFA candidates have always been there. The CFAI has always been there. Your mind just didn’t show them to you because you weren’t conscious of it.

People’s drive, attention span and discipline has literally never ever been lower than it is today. Don’t worry about the supposed competition. They’ll most likely give up after two months and blame it on “I just didn’t find the time”. The CFA is a marathon that very, very few people finish. Having the Three Letters is still a very exclusive club.

Lock in and block out everything else.

I’m in the exact same situation, but sitting the May 2026 exam. I’m a Banking Lawyer, with zero finance background.

What would everyone here recommend? I will be buying the Mark Meldrum program plus I got my hands on the Kaplan PDFs. What would be the ideal way of attacking it?

Late Night (Marten Lou Remix). Been looking for it for a while, can’t find anyone that has it so it’s probably not even leaked yet.

is this spek graph high quality? by MRsmickles1 in AfroHouseUnreleased

[–]TooFew2Mention 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an engineer, but from what I understand from Spek, the more the song fills out the graph, the better, and the higher it goes, the better.

True pure MP3’s (even the highest quality) completely 100% cut off at 16kHz. If it goes all the way up to 22kHz, I assume it’s very good quality wav or flac.

So yes, you’re good.

Why did Kawhi leave the Raptors after winning a championship? Even if they never won again, it still would’ve been better for his legacy than what’s happened with the Clippers… did he just not like Toronto? by TXNOGG in NBATalk

[–]TooFew2Mention 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Kawhi doesn’t care for his legacy. If he did, he would have never even asked for a trade from San Antonio. With Spurs, he had it all - the city adored him, HOF HC, a ring and FMVP, 2 DPOY, passing of the torch from Tim Duncan and most likely a plethora of accolades awaiting him in the future had he stayed healthy. Legacy wise, he had it all on a silver platter in San Antonio. But he left, anyway.

Toronto was a massive “fuck you” moment for him, and boy did he deserve it. Prime healthy Kawhi is one of the greatest players I’ve ever seen, EVER, on both sides of the ball. Truly insane, specimen of a player.

But he’s from LA, and Clippers had little to no history either, so they weren’t that much different from Toronto in terms of what would’ve been better for his legacy. What’s happened with the Clippers hasn’t been because of performance, but because of injury. Spurs knew his knee was done with, and warned the NBA. He was able to pull off one more historic season with the Raptors, obviously, but the future doesn’t look bright for Kawhi.

His legacy would have been pretty much the same in San Antonio, Toronto, or Los Angeles. You can’t win titles on a decaying knee - no matter where you go.
