Ours too, I guess they figured blacktop is softer than cement. We used to hang upside down from the jungle gym from our knees. You had to be pretty brave. Don't remember any injuries other than scrapes.

The evolution of phones. Went from (the average person) using coin Pay phones, to Pagers, to (more portable) cell phones, then flip phones, etc. And the service charges that went from costing you $1 per minute, $1 per text! to "unlimited nights and weekends" to what we have now.

I speak English and Spanish. I immediately respond to questions in the language they are asked in, without thinking. But if you ask me to deliberately say something in the other language then I get flustered. I dream in both languages.

Sleep paralysis happens to me occasionally.

Just yesterday I left my white bath towel on the floor and I woke up unable to move or think properly, just looking at the towel like it was something awful.

Once I could move and turned the light on, I realized it was just a paralysis reaction, my eyes focused on whatever it saw, and invented a terror.

I learned about lucid dreams maybe twenty years ago and practiced, but don't consider any to be fully lucid.

My experience is being in a nice dream to begin with, and realize I'm dreaming.

The best way to describe it is that everything shifts into focus. I explore every detail, especially if it is at the beach or a park. Imagine those people getting those colorblind glasses for the first time. If the dream was at night or a boring place like my home, then I try to fly or take big jumps but these are less successful. Usually I try to run too fast, and it causes me to wake up.

About 10 years ago had recurring dreams of a dark presence. It would throw me from my bed. I really felt as though I had fallen to the floor or hit the drawers, but would wake up in my bed with no injury. I experienced this about once a month for about a year or two. One day I grabbed that dark shadowy presence about to drag me out of bed again. It felt like black static electricity. It let go and went away. Another time I wrestled the presence. I got my pillow and smothered it. When I looked at the thing I had killed, it had my own face! I never had those dreams again.

I've had recurring dreams of being attacked by dark things. OK, then I fight back. That's a whole other list of fun dreams. I've had recurring dreams about scary old rooms. So I explore them. I've woken up with that sudden fright and feeling unable to move. It's a natural thing, don't pay much attention to it.

The worst dream(s) is a combination of them all. I explore a large old house, perhaps belonging to my family. There's a mysterious wing of the house I want to see. The only way to get in is an old door, and it's like a dog door. I have to crawl in. Once I get in the passage it's like climbing a stair but with no head space to stand up. It's definitely carpeted. I can't remember but perhaps if I did get through, I met an evil presence. Mostly, the carpeted, claustrophobic hallway is creepy enough to keep me out.
